Whether this is your first or your 500th time here at Talos we will guide your through the processes we are taking and where possible do encourage you to get involved.

a modern approach using ancient techniques
At Talos Art Foundry we cast bronze sculpture using the 'lost wax' technique known as the Cire Perdue.
Lost wax casting was first used by the Ancient Egyptians around 2500BC and the technique we follow here at Talos remains largely unchanged.
The foundry casts in modern silicon bronze and can accommodate projects from 1 to 1,000 kilos — for scale we have completed a life-size horse and rider.
Explore our range of services, which as well as mould-making, wax modelling and casting include fettling, chasing, welding and bronze patina finishes.
Not sure where to start, would like to discuss in more detail or have a more complex project in mind then book in for a consultation.
Be sure that whatever the project our skilled team of experienced specialists will bring your artistic vision to life with precision, passion and creativity.
We also offer a complete sculpture installation service, and can assist with the restoration, renovation or repair of bronze sculptures which may have been damaged through time, accident or vandalism.
THE ART OF THE PROCESS
Casting is a complex process and Sculptures can often take complex forms, requiring an engineering approach to ensure they are weighted to stand correctly. Add to this the finished work needs to be able to withstand the elements — weather, pollution, day to day handling and clambering.
We pride ourselves on our ingenuity, technical ability and the craftsmanship of the techniques we follow here at Talos Foundry.
There are many different stages, and a fair amount of waiting, involved but we have researched and honed our craft, invested in our tools and facilities and sourced the best quality materials.
With over 25 years of experience and a team of specialists on hand to compete each step, your work is in safe hands.

RESTORATION
Swan Marker and Barge Master
Believed to be the first public sculpture in London ever to be commissioned by a Livery Company, the 'Swan Maker and Barge Master' by Vivien Mallock was originally cast at Talos Foundry and installed at the southern end of Garlick Hill.
The Vintners’ Company are investors in a revival project for the local area and asked Talos Foundry to restore and remount the bronze to fit with newly renovated Little Trinity Lane — and very smart it looks too.

WHY TALOS?
Richard established Talos Art Foundry here in Andover, Hampshire, in 1998 for professional and amateur artists to cast, restore and repair bronze sculptures. With over seventy established sculptors coming to Talos Foundry it has gained a reputation for specialising in casting and patination and the Foundry's work is featured in public locations and private homes all over the globe.
